2017...The Hair Year In Review (Part One)

Colour trends we loved in 2017 (and our predictions for 2018!)

2017 has been an AH-MAZING year for hair and one of the biggest trends we’ve seen is blonde! Blonde never goes out of style and this year saw trending shades of ice (ice-baby) cool platinum, smokey blue, and ash blonde. Then, warming up through to delicious buttery blonde and caramel. YUM! We have envied celebs like Kimmy K, Cara Delevingne and Selena Gomez who have gone from dark to light and our prediction for 2018 is that ladies worldwide are going to opt for something sexy and playful. Here are our top picks.

 Bronde

They say blondes have more fun, but brunettes disagree… sothis hair lovechild was born and first made popular in the early 2000s and is making a huge comeback in 2018!

If you’re anything like us indecisive bhave babes and you can’t decide what to watch on Netflix, let alone the ultimate decision between sporting blonde or brunette, then bronde is the sweet spot you’ve been looking for.

Before you go racing off to your nearest bhave salon to demand bronde for your next colour, keep in mind that this look is not for everyone; you should always consider your skin tone and what will suit you, so always consult with your stylist first.

Here are a few of our faves...

 Balayage with Highlights

Now, before you say anything, we know, we know. Balayage isn’t a new trend and has been rocking for a little while now, but, the 2017 version definitely stepped it up with the addition of babylights! These gorgeous soft highlights were added in various colour forms from blonde to pink or purple, the choices are endless and we LOVE!

Technicolour hair is here to stay! Now, while we admit we’re biased, we are obsessed with these stunning, head-turning transformations with bhave colour!

If this is all sounding wonderful, but you’ve accepted that your hair has long crossed the path of no return with damage from excessive bleaching, fear not! For bhave’s Rescue Shampoo and Conditioner is ready and waiting. With a unique blend of bioactive keratin, silk proteins and macadamia oils, this sublimely lush range revives hair from the dead (our hero!).

Expert tip from bhave:

If you’re unsure about colour, leave it to the professionals and don’t attempt your own colour at home.

We keep our bodies hydrated, so why not our hair? If you want your hair to be healthy after your colour it, it’s best to prepare for damage in advance. This includes ensuring that your hair is well-nourished and hydrated.

If you’re highlighting your hair, ask your stylist to include our rescue therapy in the highlights to help minimise damage from the bleach and choose bhave 360 colour to ensure your hair is protected while you colour.

Thanks to a new plant-based keratin technology called prophyte™ keratin: a blend of 18 amino acids that support the hair’s condition by improving hydration, elasticity with anti-ageing and conditioning benefits and reliable, fade-defying results, you can now enjoy colouring your hair with minimal damage.

Freshly coloured hair is vulnerable to damage so it’s crucial to invest in colour-protecting shampoos and conditioners. These products are designed to form a protective layer over the hair shaft, which keeps the colour from bleeding, keeping your colour looking fresh. Stick to sulphate-free shampoos, which work their magic without stripping away natural oils and don’t leave deposits, altering your hair colour.
